The comprehensive portfolio offers an extensive range of over 40,000 references of Chassis, Engine and Braking components for all makes of vehicle. It's the strong long-standing relationships that First Line has with its manufacturing partners that enables us to offer a consistent level of premium quality products, and more importantly, it's the robustness of the internal processes and experience of the staff that means that what is supplied is going to be perfect for application. First Line is currently looking for a self-motivated Technical Support Manager to join our leading aftermarket Product & Technical Teams. Product Management is at the very core of First Line’s business plans to ensure our product portfolios are market leading. As Technical Support Manager you will work closely with our customers and our internal product and sales teams to advise any required technical support needed for parts we supply. You will also have responsibility to ensure all part Warranties are dealt with appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Queries – Answer daily and periodic technical product and cataloguing queries from our customers via the phone and/or email.
  • Warranties – Co-ordinate, assess and analyse all Warranty returns.
  • Sales Queries – Support the Sales team in analysing technical data.
  • Product Management – the job will involve some Product Management of specific groups. This will include cataloguing, cross referencing and applicating of new products and maintaining existing products within that product portfolio.
  • Other – The role will also include other reasonable duties that are required to be undertaken as part of being a valued member of the Technical Team.

Requirements

  • Vehicle mechanical skills and/or experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft software such as Word & Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, such as sales, product development, and customer service.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse data and use it to make informed strategies and/or decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a genuine desire to learn.

While not essential to the successful candidate’s application as these could be taught on the job, a demonstration of the following skills and/or experience would also be highly desirable: Proven experience and/or knowledge of dealing with aftermarket car parts; and; Specific industry and technical knowledge of 1 or more car parts that we supply. This is being advertised as a full-time office-based role but we would consider part-time work for the right candidate.
